Zachary was born in Altus, Oklahoma. His father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force which meant he was moving around a lot when he was little. He moved from Oklahoma, to Illinois, to New Jersey, to Williamsburg, Virginia, which he now calls home. It was in Williamsburg that he stayed until moving to Winchester, Virginia to attend Shenandoah Conservatory.
Although his location was changing, his love for theatre, singing, and dancing stayed the same. He first fell in love with theatre watching old movie musicals with his mother, a love that she acquired from her grandmother. Some of their favorites included Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, My Fair Lady, and Singin' In The Rain.
When Zachary isn't performing, you can find him watching those same movie musicals, along with hundreds of others he has added to his extensive movie collection over the years. His all time favorite is The Wizard of Oz.
